Lisa Schnirring

Ms. Schnirring is a news reporter at the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy. She received her journalism degree, with a concentration in science writing, from the University of Minnesota, and has taken undergraduate coursework in nursing.

Prior to joining CIDRAP, she spent 15 years with The McGraw-Hill Companies as a medical editor and writer. Her most recent position with them was as managing editor of The Physician and Sportsmedicine. Lisa has also worked as a newspaper reporter and freelance editor for career guidance publications sponsored by the US Department of Labor.

She enjoys the quick pace of infectious disease breaking news, relishes reading lengthy healthcare policy reports, and likes keeping her finger on the pulse of a wide variety of medical developments.
