Darla Phillips

Ms. Phillips is the Program Associate for the Minnesota Center of Excellence for Influenza Research and Surveillance (MCEIRS), a National Institutes of Health (NIH)-sponsored center devoted to understanding, detecting, and ultimately preventing the spread of pandemic influenza through research and surveillance. She provides overall administrative, financial, and logistical support as well as meeting preparations and planning for MCEIRS.

Prior to joining CIDRAP, Ms. Phillips was the lead trainer in Project ARM (Alcohol Risk Management), an NIH study to reduce the sales of alcohol to underage and overly intoxicated patrons. She provided in-person training to owners, managers, and employees of licensed establishments, as well as developed employee manuals and presentations for each establishment. 

She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in human resource development with an emphasis in training and development. She has several years' experience in logistics, training, human resources/financials, and office management in both the public and private sectors.
